Recording Services

One of the more unique services I can offer is full performance recording (audio and video) If you are looking to have something you can keep forever and have as an awesome memory! wether it is to look back on and see your progress, or to just to enjoy and share your journey with your friends and family. Performances can be anything from solo drums/guitar and bass playthroughs, or to a backing track/song of your choice. All audio will be a proper multitrack recording with mixing, video will be edited and graded. you will then be given the MP4 file for the video with audio Sync.

Drum Maintenance

Do your drums need some love? have some old drums or just your main pride and joy that needs a bit of TLC, I offer cleaning and maintenance services where I will strip your drums down and give it a proper clean from top to bottom, On certain metal shells I can remove rust from pitted areas and clean/shine up all of the hardware bringing the drum back to life (*this service is available for certain shells depending on material and coating)

Drum Tuning / Re heading

The first thing I do when I sit behind a kit, is to check the tuning. Drum Tuning can be a bit of a dark art, it’s certainly something that even the best of drummers can struggle with. It can take a lot of time to get drum to its sweet spot, and it is also massively dependent on shell material and drum head choice, I have spent a long period of time figuring out the best ways to tune drums to sound their best, and I can bring that service to you. wether it is just a snare drum or a full shell pack, I will get it sounding just as you like!

I can also fit new heads to your drums, you can either supply them yourself, or I can source them for you, I can also offer advice on what drum head might be right for you! They’re all different after all and can make a big difference to the sound of your drums!

*New drum heads take longer to ‘settle’ in before they will hold their tuning properly, along with the process of changing the drum heads, it takes a longer time to fully tune, this is why there is a slight increase in price

Guitar Restrings / Setups

Its not just drums that I deal with! During my time as the ‘Senior Guitar Sales’ person for ‘PMT Oxford’ I spent my fair share of time making sure customers guitars were exactly how they liked, wether it was a brand new Fender, Gibson or Ibanez, that needed some tweaking, or their own guitar that needed some love, I would always make sure I could get that guitar playing as nice as possible. be it an electric, acoustic, classical or bass guitar, I can get it back into shape

Re Strings - your guitar will be restrung with any string of your choice, if you do not have your own or not sure what to go for I can advise on what would be best for you, and source them in. I can restring any type of traditional guitar type including guitars fitted with ‘Floyd Rose’ Bridges, however a setup is usually also required with these bridges.

Setups - Guitar setups are needed when your guitar is not playing how it should be, during a setup I will check and adjust things like the neck relief string heights, intonation, pickup heights and general playability to make sure the guitar is at its best.

*With both setups and restrings I will give your guitar a full clean up, including polishing frets and hardware if it is needed

*I am not able to carry out certain repair jobs like Re-Fretting, Acoustic/Classical bridge adjustment, complex pickup replacement and more jobs that are better suited to a Luthier/Tech, fortunately I know some incredible techs and luthiers and will be more than happy to recommend them. this being said I can carry out small minor repairs work for guitars and basses (work will only be carried out on jobs I know I can do).
